When you are preparing your profile you need to take the time to consider how other people will react to the words you have written. This is particularly important as the meaning of your words could get misinterpreted when read by someone else.

You must remember that often a sentence can have two meanings and people could get the completely opposite opinion of you when reading what you have written.

When you believe you have all the information that you want to add to your profile read it out aloud and see that you are happy with it. Other people will be reading it out in their mind and you will find that many times you will make changes after reading it out aloud.

If you can have a friend read it first to see what they think and whether you should make any changes then that is all the better. Maybe they will offer some advice of what they think you should add if they were looking for someone and came across your profile.

They might also point out traits in your personality that you should add to help you find someone. They might also offer advice on why they think you haven’t found anyone or why your previous relationships have ended.

Sometimes we are too close to the action to see where things have gone wrong and it is not uncommon for people to make the same relationship mistakes time and time again.

Now is the chance to make a change and get the type of person who will be more compatible.

You should be able to get some ideas from what other people write in their profiles but make sure yours is personalized to represent you and not just a copy of someone else’s information.

When you think you are happy with what you have written leave it for a day or two before posting it online and come back to it to see if you can make any improvements or add significant information that will help you find the right person.

There is no need to rush into doing this as another day or two of delay won’t matter in the end and it will give you time to think about what you have written.
